ReplyDeleteAs a leader in the community, I would work to attract more tourists to our area. Hoover may seem dull when it comes to entertainment, but this is not the case. We have a variety of activities in the area, as well as many nice hotels and resorts available for lodging.
ReplyDeleteHoover is home to many shopping divisions, most notably the Galleria. It is home to 218 stores and restaurants that are wonderful for taking a day for leisure. Also, the amazing Hoover Met where our own national champion team, the Hoover Buccaneers, play their home football games on Fridays in the fall is found in our town. The Met also hosts the SEC baseball tournament every year towards the end of May. Along with sports fanatics and avid shoppers, Hoover can please any music lover who visits. We are a mere 15 minutes from downtown Birmingham that is home to many terrific concert venues such as Iron City, the WorkPlay theatre, the BJCC, and the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre. For the classic rock fans, the local Black Jacket Symphony frequently performs covers of beloved albums in Birmingham. And for the health nuts, we also have the beautiful Moss Rock Preserve that is perfect for hiking and climbing. All in all, it is evident Hoover is a great town for a variety of different people with different interests.
To be able to experience all of the great attractions Hoover has to offer, a place to stay is a necessity. Hoover has over 10 hotels such as the Embassy Suites, the Hyatt Place, the Residence Inn, and the Hyatt Regency (also known as the Winfrey). If our visitors wish to stay somewhere slightly more upscale, we also have the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort that is 12 miles from the botanical gardens and the Birmingham Zoo. As a whole, Hoover has both a variety of activities to keep tourists entertained and the hotels to accommodate our visitors.
To improve local economies, I would most likely want to attract more shoppers and entrepreneurs. Having more shoppers coming to Hoover would mean more money being spent. Here in Hoover, we have a mall that goes by the name of Riverchase Galleria. The Galleria has over 218 stores with anchor stores including Macy’s, JCPenney, Belk, Sears, and Vaun Maur . The galleria attracts many shoppers already. To increase the amount of shoppers, attracting more entrepreneurs would help because of the fact that we would get new and maybe even better stores. This would mean an even better variety of stores to shop at for shoppers. Because of shoppers coming and spending money in stores, the entrepreneurs then would spend money to get a small business in our area. Money being spent also means that there will be more tax dollars going towards our schools to make them better. One of our main high schools, Hoover, is overpopulated. With tax dollars helping schools, maybe we then would be able to fix that problem and help the school not have such a problem with being overcrowded. With all of this being said, attracting more shoppers and entrepreneurs would mean more people coming into our area because of the shopping opportunities we have. With money being spent, it will make schools, if not by much, even just a bit better.
ReplyDeleteIf I was on the Hoover Chamber of Commerce I would try to attract Visitors. When they come here they have all kinds of places they can shop like Patton Creek, The Riverchase Galleria, and The Village at Lee Branch. We also have a huge variety of restaurants, and entertainment. In the Riverchase Galleria there are 218 stores, and is the 25th largest shopping mall in the United States. In Hoover, we have the Hoover Met where the SEC baseball comes every year for their championship. Hoover City has all kids of places where you can just sit and relax, or you could be up running around. When people come and visit they can stop by Aldridge Gardens, it is 30-arces, and the garden surrounds a 7-acre lake. People won’t ever need to worry that there will be nothing to do while they stay, there will always be something to do in Hoover.
ReplyDeleteHoover City should work on bringing more entrepreneurs. More people will be willing to come shopping because the main amount of business in Hoover is entrepreneurs. Hoover is where people make their start. With the amount of people who live in Hoover, business is almost promised to these entrepreneurs. When people outside of Hoover think about where to go to eat more than half of the restaurants they think of are in Hoover. Firebirds, Jubilee Joes, Shula’s Steak house, Tortugas, all awesome restaurants but were all started by an entrepreneur. Also there is a lot of real-estate in many places in Hoover being unused. Patton creek, The Grove, Bluff Park, all with unused lots. So if there were more entrepreneurs they would bring much more business to Hoover. Overall Hoovers main Businesses come from entrepreneurs so they should focus on them more than other types of business.

The galleria is the largest shopping center in the state and has 218 stores to shop in. Hoover also has recreational parks. The Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, also called the Hoover Met, has many events every year and can seat 10,500 people. The SEC tournament draws more than 100,000 people every year. Hoover also has the Moss Rock Preserve. It is located in the Preserves and it is a very fun outdoor activity. You can hike for about 12 miles. The Preserves has the Moss Rock Preserve festival once a year. The festival has many activities to do as well as many painters and designers. Hoover is a very fun and exciting city with many activities to do.
ReplyDeleteAs a tourist in Hoover, Alabama, there are many places to go and see or even shop. One place I would recommend going to is Moss Rock Preserve. Moss Rock is an alluring 349 acres filled with waterfalls, hiking trails, streams, wildlife and more exciting features. There are many things to do here, for example, you can make it a day and have a picnic on a rock carving in the middle of the woods or just go for a morning jog on your favorite trail. In Hoover, I would also recommend going to the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium located off of interstate 459 on Ben Champion Drive. At the Hoover Met, you can watch the SEC baseball tournament and my favorite, the Hoover High School Football Team with their running record of 3 State Championships in a row. Living in Hoover has numerous advantages that allows you to get multiple errands done in one city.

Patton Creek consist of approximately 600,000 square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment. Restraunts ranging from Zoe’s where you can grab it and go to Firebird’s where you can dress up and have a nice sit-down dinner. Stores for everyone and their interest such as Dicks Sporting Goods, DSW, Justice, The Pink Tulip. There’s even a movie theater! Hoover has so many places where you can shop, eat, relax, and have fun. This is why attracting visitors isn’t a challenge and it’s something we need to continue to do to keep improving our local economy.

ReplyDeleteHoover should attract more small business owners. The River Chase Galleria is the largest mall in Alabama. The city also has many office buildings scattered throughout the city. So no matter what kind of business, there is always a place for it. Hoover is a great place to live, specifically families. With one of the biggest school systems in Alabama, the city is a great place for kids to go to school. Hoover City Schools has seventeen schools which consistently rank among the best in the state, and have recognized the schools achievements for community service, academics, and athletics. Hoover is also safe, with over 155 sworn officers. Our police department is one of the most advanced in the nation, with officers trained in areas such as K-9 operations, criminal forensics and bomb disposal and many others. No matter what kind of business or family there is always a place in Hoover for them.

The Riverchase Galleria, known to the locals as The Galleria, is within the top 25 largest regional shopping malls in the United States and the largest in the state of Alabama. The Galleria has 1,570,000 square feet of retail space, with 218 storefronts throughout. The Galleria is also home to the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is 15 stories high, and the Galleria office building, which is 17 stores high. Located right off of I-459 and Highway 31, the Galleria is easily accessible and encompasses a unique shopping experience. Hoover is also home to many parks and other recreational attractions. Moss Rock, for example, is an outdoor oasis 394 acres of hiking and running trails. Located in The Preserve neighborhood, Moss Rock is a fun outdoor adventure the entire family is sure to enjoy. Another attraction that is iconic to the City of Hoover is the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, or the Hoover Met, as the locals call it. The Hoover Met is an outdoor sports stadium that hosts many varieties of sports teams, such as football and basketball. The Birmingham Barons used to play in the Hoover Met, but later built their own stadium on 1st Avenue South in Downtown Birmingham, named regions field. The Hoover High School Varsity football team now plays in the stadium on Friday nights, and is usually sold out. Also, the Hoover Met is also hosts the SEC baseball tournament every spring. Hoover also has many restaurants that satisfy every culinary need. From national chain fast food restaurants to white table cloth steakhouses, Hoover is sure to meet every culinary request.
ReplyDeleteHoover should attract more shoppers. In Hoover we are lucky to have the Galleria to go shopping. The Galleria has a variety of 218 stores and 11 restaurants in the food court. If you like to exercise and shop you’re in luck, one trip around the second floor is 1.14 miles. The Galleria helps you stay fit while you shop. Another mall we have is the Brookwood mall in Brookwood Village. The Brookwood mall has fewer stores than the Galleria. It only has 45 stores and 6 restaurants in the food court. If you are visiting in Hoover and want to go shopping, I request you go to the Galleria.
ReplyDeleteTo improve our community, I would attract shoppers and tourists to our city. Two of Hoover’s most well-known shopping centers are Patton Creek and the Galleria. Patton Creek is a 600,000 square foot shopping center that contains 51 different restaurants, stores, and entertainment. Here you will find boutiques, a place to get your hair cut, and even a movie theatre. Close by, you will find the Galleria. The Galleria is named the largest enclosed mall in the state of Alabama. It is filled with 216 stores and a food court that has the southern-loved Chick-fil-A. Not only can you shop in this mall, you can sleep too! From inside the mall you can walk to Hyatt Regency or also named the Wynfrey Hotel. This hotel contains 330 rooms and a conference center that head Alabama football coach, Nick Saban, has come to for press conferences. These two shopping centers and hotel make Hoover a perfect place to come and visit.

Many people come to the city to do activities such as go shopping at the Hoover Galleria, or go watch a sporting event at the Hoover met. The Galleria is the 25th largest shopping mall in the United States containing more than 200 stores and is a large tourist point for many of our visitors. The Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, formerly known as Regions Field and also the former home of the Birmingham Barons has a capacity of 10,800 but, can accommodate up to 16,000 with patio seating. It is also the home for a yearly SEC Baseball tournament as well as the primary the home for Hoover High school football program who has won a total of 22 state playoffs and had a TV show named Two-A-Days on MTV for 2 seasons with 62 million viewers. The Hoover area also has many great outdoor activities such as Aldridge Gardens which is one of the few botanical gardens that specialize in Hydrangeas, and Moss Rock Preserve. The Moss Rock Preserve is a 349 acre nature preserve with forest systems, streams, waterfalls, wildlife, and is home to four rare species of plants and a rare variant of Little River Canyon Sandstone Glade that is thought to be one of the only 35 occurrences known around the world. Hoover is a great place to come visit or live because of its well-rounded community.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I feel that we should be working more on attracting visitors rather than business and industry. Hoover is a great place for visiting. Hoover is home to great parks well worth visiting. We have Aldridge Gardens which is a great location to stroll through, have a picnic, or take pictures. The second park is Moss Rock; it spans 349 acres and is a great location for hiking. Another great place for visiting is the Hoover Met. The Hoover Met is a great venue to host a wide variety of events. The Met is a baseball stadium that has been transformed for sporting events such as football, soccer, and beach volleyball. Lastly Hoover has a great variety of restaurants and numerous amounts of hotels. So overall I feel Hoover should continue on bringing in tourists to the city.
ReplyDeleteHoover has many safe and exciting attractions that would make visitors want to come to this environment. For example, Hoover had 2,671 crimes committed in 2013. However, in Savannah Georgia, the crime rate in 2013 was 9,339. This just goes to show how low Hoover’s crime rate is compared to other cities that are similar. Another reason why visitors would be attracted to Hoover is our mall. The Riverchase Galleria has 218 stores and restaurants in total. The Galleria is also the biggest mall in the state of Alabama. Hoover has an Aldridge Botanical Gardens, which has many events happening and sights to see. Hoover is also the home of Moss Rock Preserve. This is a very rocky, exhilarating, and breathtaking hike. You experience a waterfall, huge rocks, and shady trees all along your hike. All of these attractions make Hoover a safe, exciting, and enjoyable environment to visit and explore.

The Galleria is filled with 218 stores to please any shopper. It is within the largest 25 regional shopping centers in America. Hoover is accommodated with a beautiful garden called, Aldridge Gardens. You don’t just go there to look at the beautiful flowers; they have many classes and events you should attend. They offer summer camps, children and even adult education classes so you can learn more about the nature around you. My favorite thing in Hoover is definitely the Metropolitan Stadium. The SEC baseball tournament is held here every year in May. The Met is accommodated with 10,500 plus seats, 12 sky boxes, and a large banquet room overlooking the field. Our shopping centers and malls sell a great variety of products including the River Chase Galleria. This highly popular mall includes over 125 stores and 24 restaurants; also it’s a great place to find a job as a young adult. Hoover should attract many more tourists as well. This would bring in more tourist dollars which will also help our local economy. There are many sights to see here in Hoover such as Moss Rock in The Preserve. Moss Rock has amazing hiking trails, a great scenery, and easy access. Another hot attraction is the Hoover Met where the SEC Baseball Tournament is held annually. Hoover has many benefits and strengths which is why we should bring more people to our city.
ReplyDeleteIn Hoover, we have a variety of tourist spots. One of the main sites is the Riverchase Galleria, located on Highway 31, and Interstate 459. The Galleria is within the top 25 of largest shopping malls in the United States, with over 218 stores. People can shop for clothes, shoes, furniture, jewelry, bath and beauty products, and when it gets a little tiring, there’s a food court that consists of 20 different restaurants and eateries. Although that seems like enough, there’s also a shopping center right across the street, called Patton Creek. This area has everything from a Carmike Cinemas movie theater, Books-A-Million, plenty of restaurants to choose from, and even an Auburn/Alabama store, because no visit to Hoover could be complete without a little football thrown in there somewhere. When shopping gets too much, you can go hang out and enjoy the nature of Alabama in the Moss Rock Preserve. There’s nearly 12 miles of hiking trails filled with waterfalls, boulder fields, streams, and wildlife! After going on a long hike through the woods, there are two convenient little places to eat and relax. The Boot offers fast, casual food, and has been mentioned in “Birmingham’s Best” in 2013 and 2014. If you’re feeling a little more fancy, Vecchia Pizzeria is a traditional Italian pizza place with pizza, pasta, and other Italian style foods. This city has so much to do, but shopping and spending time together is definitely our top priority.

Aldridge Gardens is an incredibly beautiful woodland garden, featuring a six acre lake and walking trail, as well as many native Alabama plants. Not only can one enjoy the nature around him or her, but can have special events held such as weddings, group and family parties and much more! In addition to this, one can discover outstanding art such as environmental sculptures, outdoor exhibits, galleries and more! Not only do we have Aldridge Botanical Gardens, but we have Moss Rock Preserve. Moss Rock is located in a beautiful and safely located neighborhood, The Preserve. Here, one can enjoy both nature and the community around him or her. Moss Rock has 349 acres of land, including forest systems, rock outcroppings, streams, waterfalls, wildlife and many more unique features. There are multiple huge cliffs and rocks, giving one the enjoyment of rock climbing. It has over 218 stores like Macy’s, Sera’s, and Belk so many more they also have grate restores.25 restores so that you have something new every day to eat. Hoover also has good parks, restores, hotels. Some people like to go to the Hoover Dam. Over 10 million people came to the Hoover Dam last year. Hoover also has the lowest crime rate. Compeer to some other city’s hoover is the lowest about 15% lower. That way you know you are safe when you come to Hoover.

We pride ourselves in having a variety of restaurants like: Pablo’s Mexican Restaurant, Yuki Japanese Restaurant, Nino’s Italian Restaurant, and a simple meal like American deli. We also have many chain stores and open space for small business to succeed and grow. Some areas where chain stores would be located and available spaces are would include: Patten Creek, The Village at Lee branch, and The Galleria. Our stores have a variety of price ranges and styles in order to cater to types of people. A small business will improve the economy and will make the city of Hoover more welcoming to more businesses and visitors. I hope the city of Hoover will be your choice for your small group.
ReplyDeleteAs a leader in my community, I would want to attract residents to the city of Hoover. Hoover is a great community to be a part of because of the multiple achievements the area has. For example, Hoover has a nationally ranked school system and has a crime rate that is only 15% of its neighboring city, Birmingham. The low crime rate is because of the fantastic Hoover police department. Due to Hoover’s excellent school system, low crime rate, and great police department, Hoover is able to be the thriving community it is. The Hoover community not only is the image of a true community, but it is exactly what you want from a community. Which is a family or a group of individuals banding together to make their everyday lives better. This is why you should become a resident of Hoover.

ReplyDeleteTo get people to move to Hoover I would tell them that we have great homes with low tax and they vary in size we have nice fancy houses, all the way down to very nice condos. The more people that move to Hoover the better our stores can get because more people will be buying their merchandise it will also help our stores because they will be able to get bigger name brand merchandise and better brands and verities to choose from. Also they will be helping our Schools when they buy merchandise because of the sales tax that we have to pay when we buy anything at a store. Also if you have kids we have great Schools that they will be attending when they move into hoover with a lot of new people to meet and to talk to they will have a lot of fun with our great sports programs. They will also be able to get into a great college with our amazing academy’s our even without one our teachers are for sure some of the best in Alabama. Hoover High School has hundreds of people that graduate every year and we are very proud to say that.
Thinking of coming to Hoover, Let me tell you some of the reasons why when you come, you will want to stay. Let me start off by telling you about the school systems in hoover. Now the high school offers some of the most classes in the country. They offer classes that most schools don’t. Now Hoover has very safe neighborhoods to live in and the houses can last for 30 years. The community is very nice and crime is not a problem in hoover. The stores are close to most neighborhoods and easy to get too. Places like the hoover met where the annual SEC Championship. Hoover also offers a very large and much visited store, The Galleria. A two story mall that offers shops from Van Muar to Cookie world and every Friday they hold a Annual Ping Pong tournament. That’s why you should come to hoover.
